Two Men Charged for Inmate Homicide of Ex-Lostprophets Vocalist Ian Watkins
Two men have been formally charged with murder following the incarceration fatality of ex-Lostprophets frontman and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.
Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43 have both been charged with murder and will appear before Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, per investigating officers.
Watkins, forty-eight, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, plus an additional six years on license, after pleading guilty to multiple sexual crimes including the tried rape of a very young child.
Watkins was apprehended subsequent to a narcotics search warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were confiscated.
