The Initial Game Pass Games of 2026 Reveal Xbox Is Still Fighting.
In numerous discussions, fans keep sounding the funeral bells for the green team. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a relatively obscure console. Platform-specific outlets began covering regarding Sony's platform as a new development. The past year represented complete chaos for the tech giant's gaming arm. Yet, based exclusively on the titles headed to the service in 2026, it's evident that Microsoft remains determined to attract subscribers with strong games on its key platform.
The Current Inclusions
The duo of games that are immediately available as you read this, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's truly noteworthy.
Significant Forthcoming Releases
Come mid-January, the platform will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that refreshes typical Ubisoft design with a cosmic robbery tale. Another big get is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, hailed in past assessments as "the perfect cocktail of terror and combat."
Noteworthy Smaller Games
Yet, the less-hyped additions set to join the catalog deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike that's a blast to play, drops on Jan. 7th — and you should try it regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.
The game set in a ruined Britain from last year might get its hooks in you in about 15 minutes flat.
Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by the makers of Sniper Elite, also warrants your attention. Ultimate tier members also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.
A Well-Rounded Collection
Ultimately, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, nor are they massive exclusive blockbusters that justify the service in the first place. But Microsoft's additions here are exceptionally strong. There's a good mixture of old games you might have missed and new-ish games that lacked the recognition they warranted upon launch — rendering them excellent choices to experience a revival on Game Pass.
Be prepared to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
