The children's author David Walliams dropped by book publisher.
Best-selling young adult author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
A representative for the publisher stated: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was reached following an inquiry regarding allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable towards young women.
The firm did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
An Illustrious Publishing History
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies internationally in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
He has published more than 40 books altogether, encompassing a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE in 2017 for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.
The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
