Marvel Rivals Boldly Unveils its New Lady Loki Outfit
You might label Marvel Rivals as an imitation of Overwatch, creator NetEase deserves praise for discovering creative ways to engage its unabashedly thirsty fanbase. Enter Lady Loki, a brand-new skin for the existing Strategist hero Loki, providing players a comics-accurate version of the Asgardian deity.
A Reskin of Loki, Not Hela
Despite earlier predictions and fears, the previously teased Lady Loki costume is not a skin for Hela. Instead, it is a complete visual overhaul of Loki himself, complete with new voiceover work. Based on the reveal trailer, Lady Loki retains all of Loki's signature abilities: his projectile attack, his trickery skill, and Doppelgänger. The sole difference is her new appearance, tailored to captivate an audience more than ready to spend their Lattice.
Hearing and Seeing Lady Loki
Here is a glimpse at Lady Loki in action, along with a taste of her new voiceover, courtesy of voice actor Abby Trott. Notably Trott also voices Magik in Marvel Rivals.
The character's lines and onscreen presence add a fresh dynamic to the well-known kit.
Opening the Door to Possibilities
Now that NetEase has opened the door with this gender-bent skin for Loki, the Marvel Rivals community is already speculating about future possibilities. Fan suggestions currently include:
- Gwenpool as the forthcoming Deadpool.
- Thor's alter ego Jane Foster as Thor.
- Spider-Gwen as Spider-Woman.
The big question remains: Does NetEase have the courage to introduce more obscure alternate versions, such as one-time Ms. Marvel Sharon Ventura as She-Thing? That will probably hinge on fan demand!
