Helicopter Spirals Wildly into Palm Trees at Popular Southern California Beach
A helicopter soaring over a well-attended coastal coastline abruptly began spiraling out of control, ultimately descending rapidly and crashing into a cluster of palm fronds as onlookers watched.
Videos uploaded online capture the chopper commencing to spiral near the beach then plunging in the direction of the edge of the beach, where it gets stuck amidst palms and a steps adjacent to the shoreline route.
Rescue Operation Information
The Huntington Beach fire department reported five people were taken to hospital including two individuals who were in the helicopter and were “rescued from the debris” subsequent to the incident on Saturday.
Three individuals on the pavement were harmed. Information on their injuries were not yet released.
What led to the incident was still under investigation.
Planned Function
Authorities said the helicopter was linked to an regular “Cars and Copters” charity gathering set for Sunday.
