Aircraft Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Because of Crack in Windshield
A plane ferrying Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an unscheduled landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday after a crack was discovered in the jet's front window, per an official statement which confirmed that all passengers were secure.
"The plane touched down based on established safety measures and all individuals on the flight, such as Defense Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a spokesperson stated in a public statement.
Hegseth was returning from a short visit to the Belgian capital at the time.
This occurrence does not mark the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet carrying a senior official has suffered equipment failures.
Earlier this year, a United States Air Force aircraft ferrying Marco Rubio to Munich was forced to turn back to the US capital after encountering a mechanical problem.
